John Warrington produced this hand-sewn replica of a Continental uniform worn by the Ninth Virginia Regiment who occupied the Northwest Territories (now Ohio). These pieces were made to exacting standards from research done at the Smithsonian Institution on surviving uniforms.
Warrington participated in Bicentennial activities from 1975-1977 sponsored by the Ohio Historical Society and was in the official regiment from Ohio that marched in the July 4th parade in Philadelphia to celebrate America’s 200th birthday. He wore this uniform to many reenactments including Piqua Battlefield; George Rogers Clark Park, Springfield OH; Fort Laurens OH; Fort Ligonier, Pennsylvania; Brandywine Battlefield, Pennsylvania; Fort Frederick, Maryland; and Fort Necessity, Pennsylvania.
