The “Mary Ann” gift shop in the Miamisburg History Center is named in honor of a well-known downtown store, which specialized in ladies' wear, hosiery, gifts, and infants' wear. The Mary Ann Shop opened in 1939, and was owned and operated for over 50 years by Mary K. Masters and her family on the first floor of the Market Square building. The shop name was a combination of Mary's first and her daughter Shirley Ann's middle name.
